Fortunes reverse; from extreme hardship to great ease

"There are Heaven-and-Earth Turning Days: in spring, Yi-Mao and Xin-Mao; in summer, Bing-Wu and Wu-Wu; in autumn, Xin-You and Gui-You; in winter, Ren-Zi and Bing-Zi. These are so called because the stem–branch and Na-Yin are both exclusively focused and prosperous in all four seasons. Anyone whose fate meets such a day, is born in the four seasons, and further has their own fate again arriving at this prosperity, will have success that does not retreat. When things go too far, however, they bring loss and early death. As the Xuanwei Fu says: Han Xin was executed, and this was precisely due to being harmed by the Heaven-and-Earth Turning Sha."
Shenfeng Tongkao on Heaven-and-Earth Turning Days
"Heaven-and-Earth Turning Days are days of exclusive prosperity in the four seasons. In spring one gets Yi-Mao and Xin-Mao; in summer, Bing-Wu and Wu-Wu; in autumn, Xin-You and Gui-You; in winter, Ren-Zi and Bing-Zi. When one encounters them in the fate, this indicates a person who is quick-witted and flexible, good at adapting to change, able to dissolve difficulties and turn misfortune into blessing. Yet when prosperity reaches an extreme, it turns to its opposite; excess rigidity is easily broken. Only when it is properly coordinated within the chart can it be considered a superior pattern."
Yuanhai Ziping on Turning Days
"A Turning Day is a day on which fortune turns. Each of spring, summer, autumn and winter has its own such time; those who obtain it are like dead wood meeting spring, gaining victory amid defeat. It mainly indicates that throughout life there are many turning points, seeing new life within adversity. If it is in a place of birth and prosperity and further meets auspicious spirits that assist it, it surely indicates wealth, rank and fame. If it is excessive and without control, it instead indicates fluctuating ups and downs, with success and failure unstable."
Heaven-Turning Day is the same as the Heaven-and-Earth Turning Day and has the same origin as Earth-Turning Day. It is a special day on which stem–branch and Na-Yin are both exclusively focused and prosperous in all four seasons. Classical texts record the Heaven-and-Earth Turning Days for each season as follows:
Those whose charts contain Heaven-Turning Day often possess a strong spirit of transformation and adaptability. They are good at seeking turning points in difficult situations and, at important junctions in life, can seize opportunities to realize major changes of destiny. Such people are usually quick and flexible, with strong powers of adaptation; even when they encounter setbacks, they can rapidly adjust direction and turn danger into safety. In their careers there tend to be many ups and downs, but they often meet turning points in times of low ebb and find life in seemingly desperate situations. However, it should be noted that the power of Heaven-Turning Day needs to be kept within proper bounds: if the chart is overly prosperous and without restraint, it is instead easy for life to experience huge rises and falls, with success and failure unstable. Therefore it must be coordinated with the overall balance of the chart, avoiding excessive aggressiveness that might bring unforeseen calamities.
