Among the auxiliary stars in BaZi, Metal God is a Sha star with a uniquely mixed nature, carrying both destructive force and auspicious symbolism. The ancients regarded Metal God as a “spirit of destruction and ruin”, yet this destruction often paves the way for rebuilding and renewed growth. Metal God appears only in the three time branches Gui You, Ji Si and Yi Chou, which shows its rare and distinctive quality. Only when a Six Jia day encounters one of these Metal God hours does this configuration truly form.
Those whose charts carry Metal God tend to be tough and decisive in character, with a strong sense of justice and great capacity for action, making them suitable for martial or authority-related professions such as the military, police, judiciary and similar “martial nobility” roles. When Metal God enters the natal chart, it grants an extraordinary sense of authority, a powerful pioneering spirit and a strong inclination toward reform, daring to break old rules and rebuild order.
